Surveyor Report Enhancements

In an effort to make your reports as exact and customizable as we can, we are pleased to announce that we have added a new page to the surveyor report in RiskWatch®.  The new page allows you to be more selective regarding the specific occurrence types and sub-types which you include in the report for the surveyors.

Weekly Pressure Ulcer Report Indicators - RiskWatch®
To make it easier to quickly determine if a resident's pressure ulcer is improving or deteriorating from one week to the next, we have added green and red arrows to the Weekly Pressure Ulcer Report which provide you with a quick visual prompt as to the status of the ulcer(s).

Green "down" arrows next to a PUSH score for a resident indicates that the pressure ulcer condition is improving as compared to the most recently submitted previous PUSH score--the down arrow symbolizes that the PUSH score is going down (the ulcer is healing).  Similarly, a red "up" arrow indicates that the condition of the ulcer is deteriorating as compared to the previous PUSH score because the PUSH score is getting higher, or moving up--therefore, the ulcer is worsening.  Please see the snapshot below:

  Note-Worthy - CareWatch®

  • You will now notice a faster drill thru process on the Home Page when you click the Resident Alerts and Sentinel Events link.  The page will start to load faster and pull up the details more quickly.
  • The CVA restorative formula on the Illinois Watch What If 2008 page has been edited so that it matches the Illinois Department of Health's interpretation of the new 2008 regulations.
  • A change has been made regarding the assessments due counts which are shown in the links under the section "Assessment Submissions" on the Home Page.  Previously if a Medicare assessment was expected by the system, the overdue assessment would be removed from the count after six days; this number has now been changed to 31 days.  If the assessment is not submitted within 31 days of the expected due date, the assessment will then be removed from the overdue list.

   Note-Worthy - RiskWatch®

  • The column labeled "Status" has been removed from the Surveyor Report.  Previously, this column was listed at the far right of the table, immediately following the "units" column.
  • When you click on any of the links found in the "Occurrence Count and Open Recommendations by Status" section of the Home Page, each of the corresponding pages now has a "Printer Friendly" link on them.
