Hospice Watch Enhancements
Making every effort to ensure the highest
quality of care for your residents and to also ensure that you are accurately
recouping appropriate reimbursement for these efforts, we have enhanced the
Hospice Evaluation Watch page.
Two columns have been added to the Watch table
which provide you with a way to compare your MDS assessment coding for field J5c
(Stability of Conditions--end stage disease, six months or fewer to live) with
the evaluation scores generated from the Personal Severity Index Method and the
Life Expectancy of Six Months or Less Method.

User Administration Enhancements
For users who have permissions for the Admin menu in
CareWatch®
and RiskWatch®, you will see a modification to the
User
Administration pages such as "List Users Assigned to Facilities,"
"Facility Access to a User," etc. From this point forward,
when checking users, you will only see those users specific to your
facility, not the entire organization (unless you have
organization-wide permissions).
This will prevent the accidental
editing of user information or deletion of users from facilities
other than those that you specifically manage. If you have
permissions to view multiple facilities, you will still maintain the
ability to administer all of those users, however, who you see on
these pages is now restricted based on your individual level of
access.
Please Note: When a user is now
deleted from a facility and he/she does not have access to any other
facilities in the organization, they will be completely removed from
the organization and system. If they do have permissions in
other facilities, they will only be removed from the specific
facility that you are actively deleting them from...their other
facility access remains unless they are deleted by an administrator
for the other facilities.
Note-Worthy - CareWatch®
- A bug has been corrected when a request is received
inactivating a record that was previously accepted into the
state database. This type of assessment was flagged as
"Invalid" by our system; it will now be recognized as a valid
assessment.
- For customers using an external analysis interface such as
KeaneCare or LTC Solutions, you will now receive an error
message warning you if your system is not configured correctly
and the batch header doesn't match your facility.
Note-Worthy - RiskWatch®
- An occasional error involving pop up blockers when adding
physicians, staff, etc., when using the "Other" selection in the
drop down boxes, has been corrected.
- A fix has been implemented
to prevent duplicates or other multiples of notes from appearing in
the same occurrence report during the occurrence entry. This
includes nurse's notes, etc.
- A bug that occasionally came up
while entering staff interview information at the Investigate Stage
has been fixed.
