  Administrative Enhancements
For those users who have security permissions and are able to add new users, we have changed the requirements regarding user IDs when creating a new account in the system.

From this point forward user IDs must be 3-30 characters in length with the following characters allowable in the ID:  A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and _ (underscore).  Other characters such as *%& will no longer be accepted by the system for user IDs.  This change will help prevent processing problems and will improve overall security.

Please make sure to refer to your organization's user ID policy and password policy when adding new users to maintain compliance within your organization.

  Illinois Watch Updates
We have made adjustments to several Illinois Watch Medicaid pages for facilities who are a certified dementia care unit.

For those who are, the CDCU rules are now included in the calculations for the 2006 versions of the following pages:

  • Reimbursable Service / Need Items
  • Illinois Medicaid Facility Percentiles
  • Resident List for Reimbursable Service / Need Items (drill through page)
  • Resident Details for Reimbursable Service / Need Items (drill through page)
  • Illinois Medicaid ADL Watch

Because of these changes, you may notice some slight variations with your numerical counts on these pages.

Remember, if your facility is a certified dementia care unit and you wish to have this noted for the purposes of your watch page calculations and restorative programs, please contact us directly at 937-767-1885 so that we can enable this function for you.

  Resident Specific PUSH Tool Page
A new drill through page for PUSH assessments has been added which allows you to see all of the PUSH assessments that have been entered for a specific resident at one time, on one page.

To see the new page, log in to RiskWatch® and click the link, "Enter PUSH," found below the heading, Report Entry, on the gold navigation menu to the left of the screen.  This will open the PUSH assessment page.  You will notice on the page that the name of the residents listed here are now all underlined links.

To see a complete list of assessments entered for a specific resident on the PUSH entry page, click her/his underlined name.  A new page will then open which contains a table of each PUSH assessment entered for that particular resident for the date range that you have selected.  If you know that a certain resident has multiple PUSH assessments, but you don't see them when you click on her/his name, you may need to review the dates that the page is opening to and adjust them accordingly.

See below for a snapshot of the new resident specific PUSH assessment page:

These pages are accessible to RiskWatch® users who have Reporter permissions in the system and are available at the facility level only.

  Note-Worthy - CareWatch®

  • A refinement to the pop up blocker check when logging in has been made which will resolve the issue of a blank page occasionally opening in front of the log in screen.
  • A correction has been made regarding difficulties cancelling an incorrect discharge when another regular submission occurs on the same day.  Previously, when both assessments came in on the same day, the discharge would not be cancelled.  This has been corrected so that the discharge will be appropriately processed and cancelled.
  • A problem where no data would appear and an error message was received when trying to review QI/QMs in facilities where there are no residents in the units service area has been corrected.
  • A similar problem as above where only partial data and an error message was received when attempting to generate the QI/QMs benchmark chart in facilities with no residents in the units service area, has also been corrected.
  • The logic flag regarding, "Diabetes and No Diet or Supplement" (flag 48) has been disabled as it is no longer valid with current standards of care.

   Note-Worthy - RiskWatch®

  • A bug on the Falls Watch page at the organizational level where the counts were incorrectly represented in the table, has been corrected.
  • A modification has been made to the "Add a Note" feature.  Previously, notes were limited to 1000 characters; this has been changed and the feature will now accept up to 4000 characters.
  • An adjustment to the Skin Watch drill through pages has been implemented so that the cases associated with an occurrence are displayed correctly.
  • A refinement to the "Add a Physician" function on the Administration page has been added which restricts the type of characters you can use in the field for the physician's name.
