Executive Team:
  • John Sheridan, MHSA

    CEO & President 

    John is the president, CEO, and a co-owner/founder of eHealth Data Solutions. He has extensive experience which includes consulting, business operations, and health industry positions in medical practices, acute care, long-term care, and the insurance professions. Mr. Sheridan is an entrepreneur, strategic leader, thought leader, and visionary in the use of data analytics to promote improved quality of care through evidence-based practices in long term care. John is a frequent speaker at the national and state levels including LeadingAge California, ACHCA Winter Marketplace, state association board meetings, ASCHCAE, and others, and is the recipient of numerous awards in the profession. Mr. Sheridan holds a BA from Saint John Fisher College and an MHSA from The George Washington University.


  • Jeannette Petten, RN, MS, RAC-CT

    CNO/Agile IT Product Owner

    Jeannette is the chief nursing officer, IT product owner, and a co-owner of eHealth Data Solutions. As CNO, she provides tools, analysis, and thought leadership regarding the nursing process, nursing work flow, assessment, care planning, and quality improvement. As IT product owner for the company, Ms. Petten assures that the IT team understands new project and CMS requirements and sets the development priorities for the group. Jeannette has 30 years of nursing and educator experience including positions in acute care, independent living, home health, and long-term care environments. Her unique combination of experience and knowledge drive the development of eHDS data analytics that improve the health and quality of care for residents. Ms. Petten received her BSN and MS in nursing from The Ohio State College of Nursing.


 
Management Team:
  • Candace LaRochelle, JD, MHA

    Manager of Business Operations

    Candace provides oversight for accounts receivable and sales and marketing. In addition, her responsibilities include regulatory oversight and she has extensive knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH regulations, with a primary focus on the role of the business associate. Ms. LaRochelle has a background in both commercial litigation and commercial  underwriting. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Winston-Salem State University, Master’s in Health Administration from Pfeiffer University at Charlotte, and a Juris Doctorate from University of Dayton School of Law. Candace is from the upstate area of South Carolina and now resides in Cleveland, OH with her husband and daughter.

  • John Benko, RN, BSN, RAC-CT

    Assistant IT Product Owner

    John serves as the assistant product owner at eHealth Data Solutions. Prior to joining eHDS he worked in various positions in the healthcare industry including neuroscience tertiary care, elder home care, assisted living, long term care, correctional/forensic nursing, electronic health records, and quality improvement/assurance. Past positions include DON, director of business development, regional manager, nursing supervisor and clinical practice nurse. Mr. Benko is an RN and has a BSN from the Chamberlain College of Nursing and serves on the board of the Dougbe River Presbyterian School of Liberia.

  • Kyle Jenkins, BA

    Product Liaison

    Kyle Jenkins has been a software engineer with eHealth Data Solutions since 2007. He has a BA in mathematics from Cleveland State University, with a strong emphasis in computer and information systems. Kyle holds a leadership position within the development team at eHDS in which he ensures the efficiency of the team and workflow process as well as communicates an understanding of product requirements, priorities and customer usage. He also provides ongoing technical support to both employees and customers.


  • Theresa Schmidt, MA, RAC-CT

    Manager of Education

    Theresa has served the long term care community with eHDS since 2006. She leads the education and customer support teams in product implementation and training, developing educational content, and providing responsive customer service. She also conducts data analysis for systems management and performance improvement and researches ways to define and measure LTC performance. Theresa holds a BA from Oberlin College and an MA in sociology from The Ohio State University. She has been certified as a state tested nurse's aide, maintains a resident assessment coordinator certification from AANAC, and has presented on quality and reimbursement at state and national events.

  • Tom Howitt, MBA, CCP

    Human Resources Director

    Tom has over 30 years of Human Resource management experience encompassing compensation, benefits, performance management, strategic staffing, Human Resource Management Systems and compliance.  He has worked in management and director level positions across numerous industries including utilities, pharmaceuticals, IT services, manufacturing and consulting.  His consulting assignments in compensation include several Fortune 500 companies. Tom has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Cortland and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Virginia Tech. In addition, he is a Certified Compensation Professional.

  • Michael Kremer, MA

    IT Administrator

    Mike began his career with eHealth Data Solutions as one of the initial software engineers when the company was still in start-up mode. He currently serves as a member of the eHDS management team and is the company IT administrator. Mike has significant experience in analytics and software engineering including work with the insurance industry, a tower engineering and manufacturing company, and data and analytics consulting projects for the state of Ohio. Mr. Kremer has a Master's degree from the University of Hawaii.


 
Sales:
  • Jeff Mukamal, MS, NHA, FACHCA

    Senior Sales Representative

    Jeff serves as senior sales representative, applying 26 years of experience in healthcare and IT to offer valuable insight to our clients and the seniors that are entrusted into their care. Jeff is a licensed nursing home administrator and owner, which makes him a crucial supply of information regarding the successful use of analytics. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and his Master’s in Management from North Carolina State University. He is an active member of the American Health Care Association as a 2006 Future Leader, member of the AHCA Quality Improvement Committee and is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators.


  • Chris Jung, MBA

    Sales Representative, Pacific Region

    Chris is a 20-year veteran of healthcare with extensive experience in business development and management, with a focus on the entire continuum of healthcare and finding solutions that provide the patient with the best possible care and efficacy, while at the same time recognizing the tightening reimbursement environment.  During his previous tenure as Director of Novartis Medical Nutrition for Southern California, his team became the number one market in growth and customer satisfaction. Chris earned his MBA from USC.  As eHDS’s representative for the Pacific region, he is based in California with his wife, son & daughter. 


 
Education and Support Specialists:
  • Joyce Rutherford-Donner, RN, MBA, LNHA, CRM, RAC-CT, CCEP

    Senior Education and Support Specialist

    Joyce has 30 years experience in long term care and community health in nursing, corporate compliance, and risk management. She has served as a manager/developer of a home health agency, director of nursing and administrator of a skilled nursing facility, executive director of a CCRC, and special projects and compliance auditor for a continuing care corporation.  She is also certified in compliance, ethics and risk management, and is a licensed Ohio nursing home administrator.  Ms. Rutherford-Donner holds an MBA from Franklin University and a BSN from Wright State University. 

  • Stephanie Black Brugger, RN, BS, RAC-CT

    Education and Support Specialist

    Stephanie has been an RN since 1984. She started her career in the long term care industry during the time OBRA regulations were put in place.  She served as a floor nurse, shift supervisor and as staff development coordinator during her time in long term care. Until recently, Stephanie worked in the home health industry. She served as a field nurse, a clinical director, an administrator and as the regional clinical and infomatics director. Stephanie also facilitated the implementation of two EMR systems while working in the home health industry. Stephanie previously served on the Ohio Council's for Home Care Education Oversight Committee.

  • Julie Standerfer, RN, MS, RAC-CT

    Education and Support Specialist

    Julie comes to eHealth Data solutions with 25 years experience in long term care. She most recently served as the clinical coordinator at Illinois Health Care Association. In that role she worked with a core group of professionals to develop the current Illinois reimbursement system. Julie was also responsible for testifying at legislative hearings, preparing policy papers for issues affecting the long term care industry and conducting numerous training sessions in response to new regulations, new long term care initiatives and maximizing reimbursement.


  • Jim Hunter, BS, RAC-CT

    Senior Education and Support Specialist

    Jim provides training, support, data analysis, and thought leadership to eHDS customers.  Jim served as the Manager of the Reimbursement and Analysis – Long Term Care section in the Department of Illinois Healthcare and Family Services from 1985-2003. He also served as Manager of Reimbursement Issues for the Illinois Health Care Association and has been a consultant with Life Services Network of Illinois on Medicaid reimbursement.  Jim has published over a dozen articles regarding Medicaid, has lectured numerous times on the Medicaid reimbursement system for Illinois associations, and has presented at national INTERI and AANAC conferences.  Jim has a B.S. in Mathematics from Illinois State University.

  • Sandra Mitchey, LNHA, RAC-CT

    Education and Support Specialist

    Sandra has 30 years of experience in the long term care profession with a background in education and implementation of various software.  She has been instrumental in the creation of multiple training packages for long term care use, and is well versed in the use of clinical and billing applications which focus on MDS assessments and Medicare reimbursement. Sandra has published several articles that discuss education needs for long term care.  Sandra is a licensed nursing home administrator and holds a certificate in Health Care Management from Illinois Central College.

  • N’Lou Figueras, LPN, RAC-CT

    Product Support Specialist

    N’Lou brings over 10 years of customer service to the education and support team.  She has served the healthcare industry for 5 years as a home health nurse and a floor nurse in a hospital facility. There she was responsible for assisting in the development of a training program for the current software, as well as becoming a trainer for EMR implementation. She has also been in multiple support roles related to the IT and healthcare fields. Currently, N’Lou is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in marketing, with a minor in software development at Southern New Hampshire University, and maintains an active LPN license in the state of Ohio.


 
Business Operations:
  • Rachel McKinley, BA

    Business Operations Analyst

    Rachel joined eHDS in July 2010 after working for over 25 years in the financial and retirement plan arenas.  An alumnus of Ohio Wesleyan University, she handles invoicing and accounts receivable for eHDS along with trade show logistics and sales support.


  • Monika Werling, MA, MS, PHR

    Marketing Communications Specialist

    Monika began her tenure with eHealth Data Solutions in 2007 as the product documentation specialist writing help pages and support bulletins for the eHDS product suite.  She currently serves in a marketing role where she hones the message of eHDS and facilitates the development and implementation of the company marketing plan.  Monika has a BA in English from the University of Iowa, an MA in Race and Gender Studies from West Virginia University, an MS in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, and her PHR certification.
