We apologize for any inconvenience.
You may have noticed our frequent maintenance notices; we are busy updating our products to make them more useful for you. In addition to behind-the-scenes work making everything run more smoothly, here are some recent changes:
Fewer Suspended Assessments
Assessments used to suspend for any change in Medicaid number (MDS field A0700), forcing you to make corrections that were not necessary. Now, assessments will no longer suspend in the following cases of natural progression:
FROM no number (N) TO pending (+)

Texas Watch
Texas Watch is the newest State Watch page to be released in addition to the Iowa and Kansas Watch pages. Our State Watch pages are developed to allow you to approximate reimbursement based on your own state’s Medicaid rules.
To get to the State Watch page, go to Reports, Reimbursement Analysis, State Watch and then Point in Time Resident Roster.
The page will open to the Point in Time roster, which approximates reimbursement for the residents in a facility on a given day (using a given rate level for Texas). It provides you with a detailed breakdown of the residents in your facility with regard to RUG classifications, case mix index, reimbursement dollars and payer source on a specific single day. Also included are a summary table of RUG distribution totals and a table of averages by payer source, both separated into hospice, non-hospice and total.

Facility, organization and resident names displayed in this image are fictitious. The information in this image does not and should not be construed to represent actual people, facilities and organizations. The resident names shown are fictitious, randomly selected and do not represent actual people.
From the Point in Time roster, you also have the option to view the Time Weighted roster, which approximates reimbursement for the residents in a facility during a given date range. It displays detailed information regarding assessments used in determining case mix and per diem rates, total number of days, RUG dollars and payer source for each resident, as well as weighted averages for those fields for each resident.
The RUG Potential for Texas has also been updated.
