eHealth Data Solutions has developed a new set of payment analysis pages that allow you to see the impact of possible missed opportunities and inaccurate/incomplete documentation using your own data. These reports are designed to match documentation with your clinical record and highlight possible inconsistencies that may affect both your care planning and RUG scores.
Of particular interest to MDS coordinators, DONs, and reimbursement analysts, these pages can be used as an error correction vehicle, similar to the eHDS logic flags process, and as a planning tool. These pages provide the opportunity to think proactively regarding upcoming assessments, help you know which residents are on the horizon for assessments, and allow you to get properly reimbursed for all of the services you have provided.
Report highlights include a review of ADL scores, RUG codes, and RUG dollars based on the most recently submitted assessment for each resident. These scores and calculations are then examined to see whether the resident could benefit from more minutes of care, a higher level of care, etc that could potentially change her/his RUG level, improve quality of care, and impact reimbursement for your facility. Summaries of the data for the entire facility are also included in the reports.
The RUG 34, 44, and 66 Potential pages make certain that your residents are receiving the best possible care available to them, assist in accurate and meaningful care planning, improve accuracy and documentation, and ensure that facilities are being reimbursed appropriately for the level of care and services that they provide.
