Support Bulletin September, 2008

  Texas Watch
We are pleased to announce the addition of three more payment analysis reports for the Texas Watch page:  the Time-Weighted Rate and CMI Resident Roster; the Time-Weighted Rate and CMI Resident Summary; and the Point in Time Rate and Case Mix Index Report.  These new reports all use the Texas September 1, 2008 case mix index values and also display the per diem rates.

  Watch Page Refinements
Several Watch pages have been refined to improve the reporting of those residents who have improved, deteriorated, or had no change in the status of various conditions.  These enhancements particularly affect those states who use the short quarterly.  In addition, several performance enhancements have been added to improve the speed of the pages loading (particularly at the organization level) and sorting options for the various Watch pages.

  State Report Enhancements

Support Bulletins

We are pleased to announce several enhancements to the various state forms which some of you are mandated to submit to the state following an event in your facilities.  These enhancements have improved editing functionality, allow for the withdrawal of a report from the submission process, and allow for longer text narrative, among other changes.

  Connecticut & Kansas State Forms
Continuing in our efforts to streamline your work flow and improve efficiency, we are pleased to announce that the Connecticut and Kansas state reports have been added to the RiskWatch® website and are available to any facility in the states of Connecticut or Kansas as appropriate.

  Illinois Watch Enhancements
Enhancements have been made to the existing Illinois Watch pages regarding the criteria of inclusion of assessments in the payment analyses on these pages.  This was done in order to be consistent with the practices of the state of Illinois.  We have also changed the menu of the Illinois Watch pages for easier organization and management, as well as added more analyses using the revised 2008 state of Illinois rules for reimbursement.

  Note-Worthy - CareWatch®

  • A bug in the Illinois What If report regarding toileting has been corrected.
  • PAC Pain Watch has been modified to confine the report to residents that have had a Medicare assessment during the selected date range.
